Safety Glass and Safety Enclosure For Laser Engraving Machine
The safety glass and enclosure is the most important safety protective device for a laser engraving machine; it protects the laser emission from the beam which could affect the human skin and eye. Without these safety devices, the laser engraving system can't be categorized as a class 1 laser system.
Safety glass
The laser safety glasses of the machine must be of a type according to European and international safety standard. These standards are EN207 and EN208 (personal eye protection and eye protectors) or the guidelines in ANSI Z 136.1.
Normally, EN standards apply in Europe and ANSI standards apply in the United State. Sometimes, the regulations in force depend on the location of the laser engraving machine installation.
If the structure or optical quality of the safety glasses changes during use, the root cause must be identified immediately and it have to be dismantled and replaced.
Safety enclosure
Laser safety enclosure is designed to protect the machine operator from direct, reflected and scattered laser beam radiation.
For industrial production processes, a laser safety enclosure according to Class 1 laser safety standard must be used around the point of application of the laser beam. This enclosure can be supplied by the laser engraving machine supplier or distributor itself or it can be supplied from an accredited appointed manufacturer from the OEM. But such an enclosure must meets class 1 laser safety standards and is approved to be safely used in a production environment without the use of personal eye protection or any other PPE.

A blue laser beam is produced at a visible light frequency of 473nm using an advanced laser crystal. The PowerShot SD800 IS is the latest edition to the Canon family. Canon, known for their image quality and practicality, has not fallen short with this model. The 42 Head Laser Pointer Beam Keychain is awful. It does NOT show the images it says it shows. The images shown online are blown up by 1000%. I canNOT even tell the difference between each laser head. Only ONE laser head out of 42 actually shows a far enough laser to be of any use. It costs more to return it than it was to buy. To future buyers: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT OR FROM THIS PERSON. THE BOX LOOKED OPEN AND IT DOES NOT EVEN WORK LIKE IT IS SUPPOSED TO!! THIS WAS A GIFT AND NOW I HAVE NO GIFT!!

The metal is so thin that it bends when unscrewing to replace batteries (which were dead when I got it). Even with fresh batteries the light was so dim I could barely see it. I threw it IN THE GARBAGE immediately. More great stuff from overseas.

The laser pointer is reasonably bright in a plain old dot. Of the 42 heads, about 20% didn't work at all because the lens (diffraction grating, actually) wasn't glued in securely and had fallen out or was at an angle to the beam. There was also a lot of overlap with 2 and sometimes 3 of the same pattern. So indeed there are 42 heads, but don't expect 42 distinct working patterns.
The heads that did work presented a very weak pattern which is to be expected. The laser itself is so low power (read "safe") that when spread a bit there's not much energy left. In a very dark room it's fun, but the patterns really can't compete with an LCD projector.
So, if you want an inexpensive red point, then this one is worth or so. But don't expect the additional heads to be of much value.
